Dual-Credit Process - PDF

Dual-Credit Process. Version 3.07.00

Overview

Dual credits allow students to take courses that will count towards their OSSD as well as a post-secondary certificate, diploma, degree or apprenticeship certification. These courses can be taught at a secondary school or a college by a teacher and/or college professor. Students are allowed a maximum of four optional credits in college or apprenticeship courses. Trillium validates Dual Credit (DC) Courses using s system table, like the Ministry-Developed Courses and Locally Developed Courses.

Certain DC courses, such as Advanced Standing and Team Teaching Dual-credit course types use regular Ministry-Developed Courses and are included in the calculation of the Average Class Size report. Where dual-credit courses are college-delivered, the classes are excluded from the calculation of the Average Class Size
courses.
